Welcome. I’m Shelby Renee Giles — a professional astrologer, Spirit-led creative, professor, and storyteller exploring self-realization through the path of devotion.

After almost two decades as a PR strategist advising social impact brands that improve our world, another calling grew louder — one rooted in the spiritual dimension of life. My own spiritual evolution, coupled with a curiosity about the true meaning of faith, purpose, and the nature of the human experience became more than a personal exploration — it became a spiritual imperative. That unfolding led me into deep study, life-shifting trainings, and the recognition that as society becomes more conscious, we must meet the moment with greater intention, nuance, and depth.

After years of self-study, formalized training through Kepler College, and the deep inner work of walking my own path, I launched Devotional Astrology to help fellow human beings journey through life feeling more aligned, particularly at this moment of historic change.

As an intuitive astrologer, I’ve come to view astrology as God’s poetry in motion. My method is deeply Spirit-led, meaning I take an intuition-first approach to readings, grounded in the years of knowledge and skill I’ve accumulated and honed. I also take an educational approach that empowers you to make astrology an intentional part of your spiritual practice — an invaluable tool to help you navigate the vast changes happening both individually and collectively on the planet.

Your Questions, Answered

  • If this is your first extensive astrology reading, I always recommend starting with The Foundation — an in-depth reading of your birth chart. This lays the groundwork for all future readings.

    From there, I recommend The Perennial — an annual solar return reading, which looks at your year ahead from birthday to birthday.

    The Grounding Check-In readings are great for whenever you want to recenter and align with the current energy.

  • During the booking process, you’ll be asked for your date of birth, your exact time of birth (or as close as possible within 30 minutes), and the city/state where you were born.

    Providing a correct birth time is extremely important. It sets your rising sign and houses, and also heavily influences your Moon placement. Without it, I’d be missing the very things that make your chart yours.

    If you don’t know your birth time, start with your birth certificate. If it isn’t listed there, ask your mom, dad, or anyone else who is likely to have that information. You can also request your birth record from the state where you were born.

  • Spend some time in stillness before we meet.

    You don’t need to study your chart or arrive with a list of questions. What helps most is getting clear on your intention — what drew you to the reading and what’s currently happening in your life. Sit with that for a few minutes and see what rises.

    That’s always a good place to start. We’ll take it from there.

  • You’ll find a secure payment page at the end of the booking process. You’ll pay half at the time of booking, and half on your appointment date.

    Since most of my work happens before we meet, and each session also includes post-work, this cadence helps to hold that time.

  • The Foundation and the Perennial readings come with a beautifully designed PDF and the recording from our session.

    The PDF is a keepsake and includes a summary of everything we covered. The recording is a link to our session that you can download and keep for as long as you’d like.

  • This is not a psychic reading. During your session, I do draw from my intuition to inform what I feel Divinely guided to share within the context of your chart placements, current transits, and personal cycles.

    My work is to draw from my knowledge, skills, and innate knowing to reveal what’s most important at the time of your session. And yours is to stay anchored in your own knowing about how to meet it.

    I find that this creates a beautiful co-creative relationship between myself and clients.
